IRVINE, CA - Today, Anthony Kuo announced that State Assemblyman Steven S. Choi, Ph.D. has endorsed his campaign for Irvine City Council.
"Anthony Kuo will be focused on results at City Hall," Assemblyman Choi said. "He will bring forward common sense solutions to protect Irvine's high quality of life," Choi added.
"Assemblyman Choi's record of supporting our local police to keep Irvine safe, supporting educators and parents to create nationally-recognized public schools, and working with the business community and job creators for regional economic strength is one I'm proud to associate myself with," Kuo said.
Assemblymember Choi has represented portions of Irvine in the State Assembly since his election in 2016. He previously served on the Irvine City Council from 2004-2016, including two terms as Irvine's directly-elected Mayor from 2012-2016. Choi was also twice elected to represent Irvine families as a Member of the Irvine Unified School District's Board of Education.
Anthony Kuo was raised in Irvine and is a product of Irvine's public schools. He has represented Irvine as a city Commissioner for nearly eight years, during which time he has led efforts to ensure the responsible and efficient delivery of roads, parks, childcare, and infrastructure. Additionally, he's proud of his work on the Board of Directors of the Irvine Children's Fund and Irvine Junior Games.
