National Night Out with the Irvine Police

Have you heard of National Night Out?

It's a free opportunity for our community to meet and greet with our local law enforcement officers, and to learn more about how we can work with them to keep Irvine "America's Safest City."

Tomorrow night (August 1st), the men and women of the Irvine Police Department will host three events from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Cypress Community Park, the Ranch Neighborhood Park, and Adventure Playground at University Community Park.

Cypress Community Park - 255 Visions, near Roosevelt and Jeffrey Road

Meet Frosty and Captain, the horses of Irvine's first Mounted Police units. Families can also enjoy a bike rodeo, face painting, K9 demonstration, police motorcycles, and SWAT vehicle.

The Ranch Neighborhood Park - 5160 Royale Avenue, off Irvine Center Drive

Come out to see a DARE vehicle, police K9, inflatable obstacle course, an Orange County Fire Authority fire engine, and other activities.

Adventure Playground / University Community Park - 1 Beech Tree Ln., off Michelson

Adventure Playground's tree house, art wall and fort will host the Irvine Police Department's e-Bike demonstration. Animal services, face painting, and a "Crime Scene Investigation" game will also be available.

Bring your families and neighbors out for hot dogs, drinks, and a limited edition fidget spinner as we continue to work together to keep Irvine safe, and special.
